What are the benefits of massage?
Massage… * Increases circulation, allowing the body to pump more oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs. * Stimulates the flow of lymph, the body's natural defense system, against toxic invaders. * Relaxes and softens injured and overused muscles. Reduces spasms and cramping * Increases joint flexibility. * Reduces recovery time from surgery and from workouts. * Releases endorphins - the body's natural painkiller - and is being used in chronic illness, injury and recovery from surgery to control and relieve pain. * Reduces post-surgery adhesions and edema and can be used to reduce and realign scar tissue after healing has occurred. * Improves range-of-motion and decreases discomfort for patients with low back pain. * Relieves pain for migraine sufferers and decreases the need for medication. * Assists with shorter labor for expectant mothers, as well as less need for medication, less depression and anxiety, and shorter hospital stays. * Reduces the agony of chronic pain syndromes such as neuropathy or fibromyalgia.
Do you massage men?
I do scientific medical massage on men. I do not, nor will I ever, do "favors" for men or anyone else. If a person asks for a "favor" they will immediately be asked to leave and charged full price.
Are you certified or licensed?
Yes, I am nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. That means that I took the long test and passed. The state of Wyoming does not currently regulate massage so there is no Wyoming certification. I will be certified in Montana, as it will soon have certification requirements.
What is your late arrival and cancellation policy?
For most, the following goes without saying, but for those that are unfamiliar with my services and are in need of clarification and guidance concerning standard protocol and acceptable behavior when enjoying a massage, I must state the following: There is a 24 hour cancellation policy. Please arrive for your appointment at the agreed upon time so that you receive the full benefit of a complete session. Your session begins at the agreed upon time even when you are not able to be present. If you have an emergency or illness that disrupts your plans, please give me a call as soon as possible at (406)281-0135. A session will be canceled immediately and payment due in full for inappropriate behavior. Examples of inappropriate behavior include sexual misconduct or suggestions, intoxication, very poor hygiene, and contagious disease. I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
